The company’s existence came into being when agronomist and technician Mr. Blai Llort Marti came across Georgian hazelnut samples quite accidentally in Barcelona. Having a huge experience in nut industry, he immediately sensed the uniquity of this product and decided to trace it back to its origins. Thus, he arrived to Georgia in 2012 and get fascinated by the authentic taste and quality of this indigenous product. As a result he stayed in the country and created a team; the aim was to establish an international company with members who had already gathered a valuable experience at international markets.
Originally it was founded as Caro Nut Georgia, a subsidiary of Candor AGS group, headquartered in the USA.
In January, 2019 Agro Origins, a new and independent Georgian-based company was established. Its members and policies continue the same line and follow the aim of opening new markets and enhancing the brand’s recognition worldwide.
Agro Origins represents a young, dynamic team and has a vast experience in the nut sector.
We have two direction of activities: one is managing agricultural projects, another one is sourcing and trading nuts from different origins.
In agricultural direction our team offers developing agricultural projects in tree nuts sector and collaboration in implementing them in a successful manner. Company’s Co-founder, Mr. Blai Llort Marti, with working experience over three decades, has solid background in leading huge dimension agricultural projects at executive level, as well as he works himself in the fields and teaches agronomists at sites.
As a trader and as an exporter we began operating since 2013. Company’s focus primarily lies on sourcing diverse nuts directly from Georgia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Russia and Iran. Partnering with growers and processors, Agro Origins is devoted to supplying high quality products to large retail customers worldwide. It is involved in every link of the value chain including quality control, nut processing and a flawless delivery.
